STP Community Meeting July 14
Hi,
The NISP train is steamrolling forward toward a huge new Poudre River diversion project with the recent release of the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS). Time to submit SDEIS comments is very short. Could you please post that Save The Poudre is hosting a community meeting next Tuesday, July 14, 5:30-7:30 pm, at Avogadro’s Number to get the facts out and rally opposition to this huge, misguided project.
Here’s the link: http://savethepoudre.org/events-calendar.html
The proposed project would not affect boating flows in the canyon (thank goodness!) but will have big negative effects downstream, including on the # of boatable days and flows at the future Fort Collins whitewater park.
I can send the poster for the meeting as a JPG or PDF if you could post it on the Rock Report page.
Thanks!
Doug
