River just turned black at Camp Falbo and the newly installed Hewlett rain gauge shows almost a tenth of an inch rain in that little storm that just blew through here. So, it may be a tad higher now.

Happy Independence Day, y’all! Cross your fingers all (boaters, anglers may be liking the low flows) that the Riv Commish turns the water back on tomorrow as previously discussed. I sure would like to get the big boat back on the water a couple more times!!

Got Chocolate Milk? Poudre’s had a precipitous drop down to 2.2 and is flowing quite dark. Most likely due to a reported slide up by Pingree Park Road.

Hey everyone, quick update from the water commish.

Water Supply (Larimer County Canal) is shutting down for the week. The river will drop tomorrow from 800 cfs to 500 cfs. Their plan is to turn back on Friday and that will bring the river back up to around 700. We could sure use some rain in the hills to help keep the river up.
