As August comes to and end, so does any semblance of the boating season we just had. I do have to admit it lasted surprisingly longer than expected, albeit at low flows.

Let us all enjoy a quiet and peaceful Fall season. And don’t forget to do a snow dance! See y’all next year. That’s right folks, below 1. I am amazed it has stayed above 1 for as long as it did.

Currently 61˚F overcast and calm. Expect Sunny, with a high near 77. Light and variable wind becoming east southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west after midnight.

OK Dave Dennis, I may no longer need a micrometer to accurately tell the level, but at 0600 I will start to need a flashlight! And the fact that I am still recording boatable levels with potential need of flashlight amazes me! The year of no snow and it’s still 1.5 in the last full week of August. Wow

Pleasantly cool at 64˚F, overcast and calm. NOAA expects A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Tonight A chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight, then a slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

I didn’t stop to do my typical analysis with micrometer this afternoon, but the bar was clearly visible on the drive-by.

Tonight A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. Southeast wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
